Regan Kasprak

Pre-Licensed Professional, MA

I am pursuing my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University while completing my practice and internship hours at Oak Brook Counseling & Wellness under direct supervision of Kate Hoffower, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and staff from the Northwestern University.

My pronouns are she/her/hers.

I received Bachelor's degrees in psychology and sociology from Grinnell College and have experience working with the geriatric population and their families in clinical settings as well as with children on the Autism spectrum. Recently, I coordinated a volunteer program geared towards supporting home-bound, low-income seniors to promote independence.

In my practice, I utilize a holistic, person-centered approach. I prioritize exploring each person's unique challenges, history, and place within the larger sociopolitical context as well as validating the individual's inter-sectional identity and experiences. I work to support, empower, and advocate for my clients throughout the healing process by utilizing evidence-based approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psycho-dynamic Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

I collaborate with clients to set goals that align with their values and make changes that enhance well-being across different areas of life. I help clients to develop tools to cope with emotional distress and create more helpful patterns of thinking and acting.

I firmly believe in the resilience of the human spirit, the relief in having a safe, judgement-free space, and in the healing power of kindness, connection, and self-love.

We believe that resilience is innatE.
