Jeffery Siddall, MA, NCC, LPC
I am a Nationally Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor in Illinois. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University in Chicago in 2017. My pronouns are he/him/his.
I offer a skills-based, short-term, solution-focused counseling approach. The evidence-based counseling modalities that I use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) for Obsessive Compulsive Behaviors (OCD), Gottman Techniques for relationship therapy/couples counseling, and Adlerian Therapy. These effective, evidence-based modalities assist clients’ abilities to recognize their unhealthy thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I collaborate with clients to set goals and complete homework assignments to make changes for a healthier and more satisfying life.
I work with children, teens, young adults, and adults experiencing obsessive compulsive behaviors, anxiety, depression, addictions, or transitional life challenges. I help couples who are exploring and improving their communication, parenting, intimacy, and sexuality. I am passionate, enthusiastic, and motivated in working with diverse people with a variety of issues. I identify and affirm members of the LGBTQ+ communities. I assist you to move steadily towards your life goals, to make life changes, and to improve your mental health and wellness.
Along with my counseling education, experience, and skills, I had a successful first career working as a special education and traditional elementary teacher, reading specialist, and literacy staff developer. Recently, I worked in higher education as a college professor for 18 years teaching developmental and traditional English classes.
